Terms of Service
These terms cover the Webshot browser extension and the web editor at webshot.net, both provided by BetterLogic FZE (betterlogic.io). By installing or using either, you agree to them. They are short on purpose.
What Webshot is
Webshot is a free screenshot and screen recording extension and a companion web editor. You may use both for personal and commercial purposes at no charge. We may add, change, or remove features over time.
Webshot is licensed to you, not sold: you get a personal, non-exclusive right to use it, and the software, name, and design remain the property of BetterLogic FZE. Your captures are the opposite: they are yours, and we claim nothing over them.
Your content
Everything you capture, record, or edit with Webshot is yours. We claim no rights to it.
You are responsible for what you capture and share. That includes having the right to record the content, and getting consent from other people where the law requires it before recording them.
Uploads and share links
Uploading is optional. When you upload an image to create a share link, you are asking us to store and serve that image publicly at that link. Do not upload anything unlawful, or anything you do not have the right to share.
We may remove uploads that break these terms, and share links may stop working if the service changes. Uploads are not a backup service: keep your own copy of anything you care about.
Acceptable use
Use Webshot lawfully. Do not use it to record or capture people or content you are not allowed to, and do not abuse, overload, or interfere with the upload service.
Third-party services
Webshot is distributed through browser extension stores, which have their own terms. The editor's optional AI features use an API key you supply, and your use of them is governed by that provider's terms, not ours.
No warranty
Webshot is provided as is, without warranty of any kind. We do not promise it will be error-free, uninterrupted, or fit for a particular purpose.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Betterlogic is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for lost data, lost recordings, or lost profits, arising from your use of Webshot. Save your work.
Ending things
You can stop using Webshot at any time by removing the extension; everything it stored goes with it. We may disable share links or refuse uploads that break these terms, and we may discontinue the upload service itself.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws applicable to BetterLogic FZE, unless the consumer protection law of your country requires otherwise. If one part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still stands.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the current version. Continuing to use Webshot after a change means you accept the updated terms.
