Which capture modes are there?

Three modes cover most screenshots: Visible Part, Entire Page and Selected Area. Delayed, Element and Desktop capture sit below them as tools, each with a shortcut.

Open the popup on the Capture tab. The three large buttons are the modes; the list under them holds the tools.

Modes

  • Visible Part takes what is on screen right now. Ctrl+Shift+V
  • Entire Page scrolls the page and stitches the result into one image. Ctrl+Shift+F
  • Selected Area lets you drag a rectangle over the page. Ctrl+Shift+S

Tools

  • Delayed Screenshot counts down before capturing, so you can open a menu first.
  • Element Capture snaps a single element you point at.
  • Desktop Screenshot captures a screen, window or another tab through the browser's picker.
  • Enable Webpage Editing and Remove Component change the page before you capture it.
  • Extract Text copies text from a region of the screen.
  • Open Screenshot Editor opens the editor with your latest capture.

Hiding tools you never use

Preferences, then Menu Control, lets you hide any of the ten items in the popup.
