How do I capture just one element?

Use Element Capture. Move the mouse over the page, the element under it is outlined, and a click captures exactly that box, whether it is a chart, a card or a table.

Element Capture is faster and cleaner than dragging a rectangle when what you want is one block of the page.

  1. Start Element Capture

Pick it from the tools list on the Capture tab, or press Alt+Shift+E.

  2. Point at the element

As the mouse moves, the element underneath is outlined. Move slightly to go from a paragraph to its whole card, or from a cell to its table.

  3. Click to capture

The outlined box is captured at its exact size, without the page around it. Press Escape to cancel instead.

Pages built from nested containers sometimes outline a wrapper instead of the thing inside it. Move the mouse toward the content's edge to select the inner element, or fall back to Selected Area and drag the box yourself.
