What is Auto Zoom?

Auto Zoom notes where you click during a tab recording so the video editor can zoom toward those spots automatically. It is on by default in Chromium browsers.

Screen recordings of a full page often leave the important part small. Auto Zoom fixes that after the fact: the editor smoothly moves in on the places you interacted with, then back out.

How it works

While you record This Tab, Webshot notes the cursor's movement and clicks alongside the video. Nothing changes in the recording itself. When you open the result in the editor, those notes become zoom moments you can keep, move or delete.

Turning it off

Preferences, then Recording, then Auto Zoom. Switch it off if you want a plain recording with nothing tracked.

Where it is not available

Auto Zoom needs a tab recording, so it does not apply to Desktop or Camera recordings, and it is not available on Firefox.
