Why doesn't Webshot work on this page?

Browsers block every extension on their own pages: settings, the new tab page, extension stores and local files. Webshot shows Page Restricted there.

Pages that are always restricted

• Browser pages: chrome://, edge://, about: and extension pages.
• Extension stores: the Chrome Web Store, Edge Add-ons, Firefox Add-ons and Opera add-ons.
• Local files opened with file://, view-source pages and data: URLs.

On these, the popup says Page Restricted and explains that the browser prevents the feature. Keyboard shortcuts do nothing there either, since they run inside the page.

What still works

Visible Part can capture some of these pages, and the popup offers it when it applies. Desktop Screenshot and Desktop recording capture anything on screen through the browser's picker, including restricted pages.

"Page Reload Required"

This appears on a page that was open before Webshot was installed or updated. Reload the page once and everything works.
