How do I install and pin Webshot?

Install Webshot from your browser's extension store, then pin it so the button stays in the toolbar. No sign-in follows; the first capture works immediately.

Installing takes under a minute and asks for nothing except the browser's own confirmation.

  1. Open the store listing

Use the Add to browser button on this site. It sends Chrome, Edge and Brave to the Chrome Web Store, and Firefox to Firefox Add-ons.

  2. Confirm the install

Your browser lists the permissions Webshot needs, such as storage, downloads and tab capture. Accept to install.

  3. Pin the button

Click the puzzle-piece icon in the toolbar and pin Webshot so it stays visible. In Firefox, right-click the toolbar and choose Customize if the button is hidden.

  4. Take a first capture

Click the Webshot button and choose Visible Part. The screenshot opens in the editor.

Which browsers work

Chrome, Edge, Brave, Opera and Arc use the same Chrome build. Firefox has its own build with a few differences in recording; see What is different on Firefox?.
