How do I get a recording into the editor?

When a recording stops, choose Open editor. The video editor opens at webshot.net and the recording is handed over inside your browser, with nothing uploaded.

1. Stop the recording

   From the control bar or with Ctrl+Shift+X. Webshot finalises the file; a Processing screen shows the stage.

2. Choose Open editor

   The video editor opens in a new tab and asks the extension for the recording.

3. Wait for the import to finish

   The recording transfers from the browser's storage into the editor. Keep both tabs open until the editor shows the video.

What the editor does

Trim, add and adjust the automatic zooms from Auto Zoom, position the camera bubble if you recorded it as a separate track, and export.

If you closed the prompt

The recording is not lost. Open the popup again and Webshot offers to finish importing it. See My recording was not saved.
